Universal Healthcare: Viewpoints

Hello all, I am here to look at the view points for universal healthcare and why this bill needs to be passed. I see this bill can create security for people and families through this healthcare coverage for all bill. This can also promote the rate of growth in healthcare cost and ensure and protect the healthcare of all Americans.

I am looking at the numbers and see that a study was done by the Employee Benefit Research Institute on healthcare coverage. The results are very sad and this really needs are attention badly. According to the study, as of today in 1993 the rate of people without health insurance is as high as 39 million (Fairhall, 1993). This is due to the cut back many small businesses are doing because of the inflation of healthcare cost (Fairhall, 1993). I can see why we need to have a reform in this country. Many people are also losing their insurance when they move or change jobs, also if they become ill and unable to get back to work (Government, 1994). I notice we are spending billions for healthcare and we are up 7.2% from last year in 1992 (Levit, 1994). Looking at this bill I can agree with the rises in healthcare cost, our economy will start to suffer. With many issues in our healthcare system, this bill can assist in helping the economy growth.

After seeing the data on healthcare coverage in our economy, this bill can provide:

*Secure and Comprehensive health coverage

* Simplify healthcare systems

* Control cost for people that pay for healthcare coverage

* Promote choice between healthcare plans

* Ensure high quality healthcare

Promote people to be responsible for their healthcare (Government, 1994).

In this, I see by controlling cost we will have people pay and be responsible for their fair share of cost (Government, 1994). Because of this I feel that by healthy people who don’t seek medical attention often can offset the coverage in the ill. This can really assist in the growth in the economy we are in now. If we can simplify the system, many people will not refuse healthcare through their employers. Also by enforce employers to provide health coverage for employees can help our system as well. When you are promoting high quality care, this can embrace more people to be responsible for their healthcare. I would recommend that with this system it is not for people choosing having single payer system can work better than allowing choice between plans. With so many options out here for people to choose from, if people move to other states; their insurance may not follow. With a single payer system, we can eliminate that issues for many Americans. By promoting quality care we can put in place a system where facilities make more based on patient satisfaction. Also, we can set a fund for teaching facilities, so we can make sure we are teaching great medical professionals.

In conclusion, I agree that healthcare is a right and with this universal healthcare plan I can see it turning the country around for the good. We are spending far too much money on healthcare yearly and it keeps increasing. Gaining control on this issues can assist our economy from failing. Having the best healthcare yet the worst system, it is time us to reform and create Universal for all Americans.
